Built-in end-to-end encryption (E2EE) for complete data privacy

By default, your questions and outputs are encrypted before being stored on our servers. This prevents inadvertent exposure. However, we (or third parties, if compelled by law) could still view your data. Ramific provides two more layers of encryption that completely prevent us from reading your data. We recommend enabling at least one: it's easy to set up.

Custom Encryption Password

A special key (piece of text, knowable by us) encrypts your data before it leaves your browser. By enabling a custom encryption password, your data is encrypted (scrambled) in a way that prevents us from being able to read it, since we no longer know or store the decryption key.

Caveat: you must securely store / never forget your encryption password. Without it, you can't view your data. We couldn't help you either, since only the custom password can decrypt (unscramble) that data, by design.

Custom Cipher

For your convenience, Ramific comes with a built-in encryption function — a piece of code that determines how to scramble your data. But you (or your IT department) can use your own cipher. You can use that instead of, or in addition to, a custom password. For top security, use both.

IP-Address Restriction

When you connect to the internet, you're assigned a unique number called an IP address. If you always get the same "fixed" IP address (your internet provider or IT department can confirm that), we can restrict connections to your account and data to only come from authorized IP addresses.

Caveat: this prevents you from accessing your data from anywhere else, including free Wi-Fi networks, cell phone roaming data, etc. If your account is IP-address restricted and you change IP address, we'll require proof of identity before updating the list of authorized IP addresses.

Zero-Data-Retention Models

For Ramific to function, your question must be sent unscrambled to various AI models. However, we only use models with zero-data-retention policies. Once their output is produced, no trace of your data remains.

Note: we don't control third-party AIs' flagging and review mechanisms. Stay away from illegal content to remain compliant and avoid scrutiny.

Data Deletion

If you cancel your account, we'll keep your data for a 90-day grace period. After that, we'll irrecoverably delete your data. If you need your data deleted before the 90 days are up, contact us from the app and we'll oblige within two business days, excluding US federal holidays.
